Our Services
Mallet & Grain is a small, local family owned and operated business in Maple Lake, MN. We serve the area as well as customers nationwide whom we’ve come to know throughout the years. We treat everyone with kindness and honesty, and do our best to educate anyone that comes to the shop about the different wood species types of lumber best suited for their project.

Our Mill
We have had a band mill operation since 2002 and in 2021 purchased our third Wood-Mizer mill. We currently operate a Wood-Mizer LT40 Wide mill.
We are a full-service sawmill. We have the ability to turn any random logs into some of the most beautiful slabs of wood. We will saw your logs at our facility or furnish you with lumber sawed from our stock specifically based on your specifications.
Our Products
With hundreds of kiln dried slabs to choose from, you are sure to find just the right board for your project. Our slabs range from 2ft to 16ft long and sometimes up to 55” wide. We offer everything from Ash to Walnut and everything else in between. Our pricing is based on the board footage and we can do as little or as much of your project as wanted.
